Goldwater Institute Twentieth Anniversary Celebration October 2, 2008

Please join the Goldwater Institute for a special twentieth anniversary celebration with Vaclav Klaus, President of the Czech Republic and recipient of this year’s Barry Goldwater Award for Liberty. As the former Prime Minister and current President of the Czech Republic, Klaus transformed a failed communist state into one of Europe’s freest and fastest growing economies. A champion of free markets, President Klaus has been a steadfast friend of the United States and an outspoken advocate for freedom around the world. Joining the President will be Marcus Luttrell, Navy Cross recipient and author of New York Times best seller Lone Survivor, whose extraordinary experiences in Afghanistan have given him a unique perspective on what it is like to be on the front lines of the ongoing fight for freedom in the world today. There will also be an after-party screening of the vice-presidential debate.
