Amici Chamber Ensemble hosts the remarkable Vancouver harpist, Heidi Krutzen for their third concert of their 20th anniversary season. The internationally acclaimed ensemble will perform works ranging from contemporary to the Romantic for harp, strings and winds.

In addition to Ms. Krutzen, founding AMICI members, cellist, David Hetherington and clarinetist Joaquin Valdepeñas musicians will include violinist, Benjamin Bowman; violist, Steven Dann and flutist, Robert Aitken.

The programme includes:

Saint-Saëns Fantasie for violin and harp

Villa Lobös Jet whistle for flute and cello / Chôro for flute and clarinet

R Murray Schafer Theseus for harp and string quartet

Ravel Introduction and Allegro for flute, clarinet, harp and string quartet

I'm definitely going to this concert. I've to their previous one and this is probably the best ensemble in the city. The interpretation is superb and fresh! Plus the musicians they host are incredible!!!! I love Villa Lobos and Schaefer as well, good choice of music...
