Tanglewood Dr.
Lafayette, CA, California

If you live in the SF Bay Area (Marin, SF, Contra Costa, Alameda), the last California Rare Fruit Growers meeting before September's statewide Festival of Fruit is happening this Saturday at a member's home in Lafayette, CA. He has a great orchard: apples, pears, cherries, apricots, plums, persimmons, figs, pomegranates, paw paw, gooseberries, currants, blueberries, blood oranges, valencias, lemons and eleven varieties of feijoa. Probably even more.

Potluck lunch at noon, garden tour, fruit tasting and the usual plant raffle. Some interstem M-9 on M-111 rootstock will be in this raffle (it's supposed to be more resistant to wool apple aphids than other rootstock. There will also be an Arkansas Black apple tree. Bring stuff for the raffle if you can.)

Since the meeting is at a member's house, I hesitate to post the details just anywhere but if you want to go, email me at [email protected] and I'll send you the location.
