Going Coastal June 25, 2010

An evening showcase of modern dance of the coastal Northwest from San Francisco to Vancouver Island.

San Francisco's Palanza Dance, Seattle's Wade Madsen, Holly Bright of Nanaimo B.C. and Dance Gallery of Bellingham Washington join the show's producer Kristin Torok to bring together an evening of original and renowned choreography and dance. Going Coastal will bring these artists's works together to create a diverse and eclectic experience of modern dance.

The show's producer, Kristin Torok, will present a new work which combines dance, visual imagery and irony and features an original composition by musician Daniel Berkman. ﾠFrom San Francisco, Hilary Palanza will show the latest creation of Palanza Dance. Special guest Wade Madsen, one of Seattle's most accomplished and respected choreographers/performers will present his signature choreography. Artistic Director of Crimson Coast Dance Society and solo dance artist Holly Bright of Nanaimo, BC will perform an entrancing piece by renown Canadian choreographer Margie Gillis. ﾠDance Gallery, a repertory company of nearly 20 years from Bellingham, WA will perform choreography by Pablo Cornejo of Seattle. ﾠ

From the jocular to the psychotic to the supernatural this is an evening surely not to be missed! ﾠPost-performance reception with the artists will follow both evenings.
