It is believed to be the precursor of puppetry, this ancient form of storytelling offers religious and social commentary by way of a performer who embodies various characters through the use of voice techniques and a wide range of masks. As beautifully ornate as they are garish, this display of masks will no doubt continue to evoke questions about the world around and within us.
