his two-part workshop will cover two uniquely Japanese book arts techniques. The Gocco Printer is an unusual “home silk-screen kit” that has a faithful following for its high quality and ease of use. While initially confusing, this small, plastic kit can become an indispensable tool for any artist making multiples. The Japanese Edge binding techniques (stab, whip stitch, etc) are a quick and elegant way to bind single pages. Participants will bind their Gocco prints in a collaborative book using this technique.
