Gnaritas is SVKM Mithibai College’s intercollegiate Economics and Business
(“Busineconomics”) Festival brought by the Mithibai students from BCom, BA and other
finance related branches. After completing 50 years of its glorious excellence, Mithibai
College has taken an initiative to further academic excellence, through Gnaritas.
Gnaritas, consisting of a well-devised plethora of fun, economics & business related and
GK – related events, promises a wide accessibility in terms of participation in addition to
helping students develop and enriched and an aware personality.
Such an all-encompassing character of Gnaritas was very well received& appreciated by
colleges across Mumbai & the dignified experts of the education and corporate world –
during the 1
st
installment of Gnaritas in January 2012. Catering to all the needs of our
guests, we have been specially acknowledged for 1) the strategic innovation of some of the
events and 2) excellent hospitality, which impressed all.
Gnaritas – meaning WISDOM in Latin, strikes back in September 2012 with an even
more comprehensive and wisely designed arrangement of events, games, seminars and warm
hospitality for all our guests.

THEME FOR 2012:

“The Economic Underworld” – a rather covert and manipulative aspect of the global
economic, political and social scenario, forms the theme of Gnaritas – II, 2012. It is widely
believed and revealed that the strategic masters of the global economy hold the veins to
regional/national upsurges in politics, religion, terrorism and social catastrophes. As we
come across the political and societal norms and mechanisms such as corruption and
terrorism, which particularly hamper the national development and violate the very essence
of human race, we can trace a trend of atrocious economic tools as the foundation. This
network works on the global level with a hint of human psychology examination in order
for the rich to get richer and the poor, poorer. We live in the time where it is imperative to
comprehend framework of seemingly sudden uprisings and analyse mainly the economic
backdrop to reach a suitable consensus over solutions.
The intricate dynamism and working of “The Economic Underworld” has been chosen as
the theme for Gnaritas-II, to address the various facets of human civilization and thus
widen our scope of understanding the worldlytruths.
