Glorious 39 (Stephen Poliakoff, 2010) will be screened on Thursday 7th April at 7.30pm in the Studio Theatre.
From acclaimed Writer/ Director Stephen Poliakoff The Glorious 39 tells the story of Anne, a budding young actress, who stumbles across secret recordings of a sinister plot to appease the Nazis. She finds herself swept into a web of dark secrets and in increasing danger from a powerful and menacing enemy. With her most precious certainties destroyed and unable to trust even those closest to her, she comes to realise the full extent of her own betrayal and vulnerability. Featuring a stellar ensemble cast of leading British actors inlcuding Romola Garai (Atonement), BAFTA winner Bill Nighy (Love Actually), Academy Award® winner Julie Christie (Finding Neverland), David Tennant (Dr. Who), and the legendary Christopher Lee.
