The specific purpose of this event is to build toward a critical mass of people who are personally adopting new technologies and behaviors which reduce global warming, because the the goods news about global warming is this:

There are things you can do right now which not only strongly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but also save you money, and require near zero effort on your part.

Beyond that, there are other choices you can make that are fun, interesting, will get you a lot of positive attention, and have other major advantages.

This is not about dreary deprivation, or annoying stuff you're supposed to do that really isn't convenient.

This is about doing things in a new way that is fun, builds positive connections with other people, gives everyone hope, and helps bring about the new world.

The format for the event:

o A brief introduction to the new world of energy production
o Practical, easy steps you can take right now
o Bigger steps you can take later on
o Examples of new approaches you've probably never heard of or thought of, that make wonderful sense once you see them

The presentation will be part practical examples, part new information, and part vision of the new energy future.

Every person attending gets a free compact fluorescent bulb, equivalent to a standard 60-watt incandescent.

This is going to be fun! See you there!

Note: You must RSVP for this event beforehand, either by phone at (925) 286-7573, or email at [email protected], or you may not be admitted, due to limitations of room capacity.
