Continuum presents Glitch: new and archaic technology on a collision-course with chamber music, Thursday March 29 at 8pm at the Music Gallery.

Performed by the Continuum Ensemble with special guests pianist/conductor Gregory Oh, saxophonist Wallace Halladay, mezzo-soprano Lauren Phillips, and theatre designer Sue Rees.

Montréal’s Nicole Lizée creates an aural translation of psychedelic video effects in the world premiere of Marsh Chapel Experiment, while Love Theme 1978 pits Continuum’s virtuosic percussionist Ryan Scott against a live Simon™ player. Giorgio Magnanensi’s new work for ensemble and live electronics lalít II draws the listener into the microsonic world of the amplified acoustic glitch. New York’s Nick Brooke mixes antique magic lantern images with ensemble in the premiere of Double, adding a fresh twist to the part of sampling. Young British composer Emily Hall blends music and a haunting black & white video in Night Dancing.

Tickets: $25/ $15 Arts Workers/ $5 Students
