The Southern California Business Film Festival, a one-of-a-kind celebration of the unique relationship between the powerful force of film and business, will begin its Fall Screening Series with a free presentation of James Foley’s 1992 classic, Glengarry Glen Ross.

Following the film, there will be a Q&A with director James Foley about the film and the business of Hollywood.

Glengarry Glen Ross will be screened Sunday, November 1, 2009 from 7pm to 9:30pm at the Downtown Independent Theater at 251 S. Main St, Los Angeles CA. The event is FREE and open to the public with an RSVP at scbff.com. The theater will be overbooked.

The RSVP list will be honored on a first-come, first-serve basis, with no reserved seating. Please bring a photo ID or print out of your reservation confirmation, which will automatically be sent to your e-mail account upon successfully making an RSVP through the SCBFF website.

About The Film
Glengarry Glen Ross, starring Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Alec Baldwin, Alan Arkin, Ed Harris, and Kevin Spacey, examines the high-stakes, high-pressure world of sales. The film has been lauded worldwide for its talented ensemble cast and thrilling story, written by David Mamet.

About James Foley
James Foley is the director of The Corrupter, Confidence, and Perfect Stranger. He has also directed several music videos for Madonna. He is currently in pre-production on Mary Mother of Christ, also starring Al Pacino. He is a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Glengarry Glen Ross marks the first event for the Southern California Business Film Festival, which consists of screenings and panels throughout the year and culminates in one of the most unique student film competitions in the country.

The early bird submission deadline is November 13, with other films accepted until January, 2010. All films must contain an element of business or finance. Students should visit www.scbff.com for full details on the festival and to submit their film.
