From Rio to the world, Seu Jorge and AfroReggae represent the new sound of Brazil. Tonight they appear on the same outstanding live bill with dj sets and introductions from Radio One's Gilles Peterson.

Brazilian singer composer and actor Seu Jorge (City of God and The Life Aquatic) has made the remarkable transition from resident of Rio's violent favelas to world pop star and a major player in Brazil's explosive new music scene.

Brazilian phenomenon AfroReggae, stars of the film Favela Rising, "show that hip-hop can be a positive force while still providing great dance music." (The Guardian) and play Warwick Arts Centre fresh from opening for the Rolling Stones on Copacabana Beach in front of one million people.
