Gilles gained worldwide notiriety for his Worldwide radio show airing at BBC Radio 1. The show is being distributed to several radio stations around the world, entirely in the spirit of the show and it's name. It's being aired in at Belgrade Radio B92 for some 8-9 years already, and he got a huge fanbase there.
Aaah, it's that time of the year when Gilles Peterson (finally) arrives to Belgrade. :-)

A great concert but in a bad place.
Gilles was traditionally good and inspired. This time around most of the vibes revolved around brazillian music and jazzy beats.
Due to threatening weather (i.e. fears of rain) concert was moved to Dom Omladine, which has no air conditioning and seems not to have constant flow of fresh air neither. This made everyone soaking wet with nearly half of people spending most of their time outside the "dancing" hall (actually a cinema).
