Gilad Atzmon (saxophones and electronics)
Frank Harrison (electric piano and electronics)
Yaron Stavi (double bass)
Asaf Sirkis (drums)

With special guest Nizar Al-Issa (Oud)

Expect hard hitting, edgy, urban electro-acoustic jazz from Atzmon’s superb ensemble. Combining bebop with middle-eastern influences, new music and electronica Orient House create a musical landscape like no other outfit around on the London jazz scene today.

This quartet promises trademark catchy tunes and a return to raucous high octane blowing by one of the tightest outfits this side of the Atlantic.

With a new album REFUGE coming in October 2007, this will be a special chance to see the Orient House Ensemble in action before a full-scale national tour in the Autumn. The quartet are joined for these gigs by extra special guest, the exceptional Nizar Al-Issa on Oud and Vocals.

Gilad is one of the greatest jazz saxophonists working in the UK and no other contemporary jazz musician sounds like Gilad in full flow. The music has many influences from eastern, to middle-eastern to western, but common to all tunes is the band’s passion and soul.
