After a critically acclaimed opening concert with performance artist Laurie Anderson, Gil Morgenstern’s Reflections Series continues its 2010-2011 season with Rendez-vous in Paris at WMP Concert Hall (31 East 28th Street). The performance takes us inside the celebrated Parisian salon of famed salonière Winnaretta Singer, heiress to the Singer Sewing Machine fortune. Mr. Morgenstern has programmed a fascinating array of important works that were commissioned by or dedicated to Ms. Singer, or that premiered at her salon. The concert includes music by Ravel, Fauré, Stravinsky, Debussy, de Falla, and Schubert. Mr. Morgenstern will be joined by soprano Deborah Selig and pianist Hiromi Fukuda.
