Live the new-wave, discofied, rock 'n' roll dream. 'Gigi & Pop' is a collaboration between two New York-based scensters/characters: Mr. Momotaro, a uke/keyboard playing '90s indie-rock survivor and garage-rock, funk/soul, lounge DJ who can often be heard in the burgeoning NY burlesque scene, and Anita Cookie (formerly Anna Copa Cabanna, who has moved on to other things). These two have combined their childhood love for pop melodies in a variety of genres and sprinkled a bit of offbeat humor for good flavor. You can catch them live playing their full electronic set, or as an unplugged acoustic act featuring ukulele, upright bass, and an assortment of other toys.
