Background Information

The GHPSO was founded in 2005 to bring great music on a professional level to the Gig Harbor, Key and Lower Kitsap Peninsula areas as a non-profit 501c3 public charity organization. Under the baton of Maestro Louie Labayen, the orchestra performed a full season of classics and celebrated the 250th birthday of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The group has received significant sponsorship from the Gig Harbor Arts Commission, HarborStone Credit Union, Propel Insurance, Emerald Home Furnishings, and MultiCare Health System. More musicians and volunteers are sought.
