Aquarium of the Bay recently welcomed some Giant Pacific Octopi which are now living comfortably in our Near Shore tunnel exhibit. In honor of our newest residents, Aquarium of the Bay will be hosting “Giant Pacific Octopus Week”.

All week long, there will be octopus trivia and informative octopus talks, where visitors can learn everything they ever wanted to know about the Giant Pacific Octopus. Guests will also receive coupons to our Seafood Watch partner, Fog Harbor Fish House, where they can eat like an octopus by ordering its favorite food, the Dungeness crab. Lucky visitors might even be able to catch a glimpse of a Giant Pacific Octopus eating in the morning, which for this nocturnal creature, counts as dinner. Sign up for the Behind the Scenes tours during “Giant Pacific Octopus Week,” and get insider information on how we care for the octopi living at the Aquarium.
