Ghosts in the Valley w/Empire State February 18, 2009

Ghosts in the Valley is an indie rock trio that combines punk rock angst with arena rock bombast. Comparing them to Dischord's High Back Chairs the Philly Weekly said this:

"Ghosts in the Valley clearly have a soft spot for (and musical roots in) east coast hardcore–punk—you can hear it in the busy basslines, the angular and crunchy guitars, the particular chord progressions, the semi–snotty vocals, the call–and–response choruses—but they’ve tempered those sonics with a healthy dose of power–pop to wind up with a bright, catchy sound that doesn’t sacrifice volume or potency."
