Join the Simply Ghost Night team as we hold a paranormal investigation at the world renowned Golden Fleece in York, this olde world building is steeped in history, the Golden Fleece may look small from the outside, but it is more like the Tardis on the inside.

The Golden Fleece is reputed to be one of the oldest inns in York and its origins can traced to around 1500. It is rumoured to be one of the most haunted buildings in Yorkshire, let alone York, paranormal activity recorded here includes strange light analomies, items been thrown off the bar, and even coat hangars have been known to have been thrown by, unseen hands from within a bedroom wardrobe. On a visit here in the past we witnessed some amazing table tipping

One of the bedrooms is named after Lady Alice Peckett whose husband John, was a former landlord of The Golden Fleece and also the Lord Mayor of York too. The spectral residents of the Golden fleece are said to be Lady Peckett herself, Lady Pecketts ghostly body is reported to walk the darkened corridors of this old inn. A malevolent spirit called John, is considered to be the spectral culprit who is to blame for throwing the coat hangars out of the bedroom wardrobes, which we once witnessed on one of our previous visits to this haunted inn.

The Golden Fleece as gained a reputation has being haunted by a variety of eerie spectres from ghostly children dressed in rags are said to be heard running up and down the corridors. Another spooky sighting is that of a second world war pilot who is alleged to, as legend would have it, either committed suicide, or fell to his untimely death from an upstairs window in a drunken stupor.

This timber framed building may look serene from the outside to your average tourist, but join Simply Ghost Nights as we investigate the parts the average tourist cannot
