Get your Art thing Happening on March 14th from 6-8 at several locations in downtown Livermore, with the evening's theme "Mad as a March Hare".

Bring something to add to the Community Found Object Sculpture-Building event at the Downtown Art Studios (especially related to Mad, March or Hare) and check out an art exhibition by Joanna Crawshaw as well; partake in a drum circle workshop at ABC Music Source & Academy; view portraiture by Jacob Hankinson and watch him demonstrate while enjoying Open Mic Night at Panama Red Coffee House; experience open mic poetry led by Poet Laureat Cher Wollard and an exemplary alternative photography exhibition featuring works by Walter Davies, and Lisa and Ron Rigge at Figurehead Art Gallery; enjoy artmaking demonstrations at Winemaker's Pourhouse; check out "Animal Art - a fundraiser for Little Creatures", the month's art focus at Artistic Edge at Blacksmith Square; and head over for a reception for Relatively Speaking, an exhibit by Family Members in Art which will be held at the Bankhead Theater as well as opening night for an exhibition of fine graphic hyperrealism by Tim Dangaran. Cap off your night with karaoke and a rotating display by mixed media artist Trish Fenton at Sanctuary Ultra Lounge.

April 11th's event focuses on National Poetry Month, with events from a poetry slam to a songwriting workshop and Block Party Boggle.
