Get Out the Vote Meeting & Canvassing Kickoff October 11, 2008

Today is the official kickoff date for the GOTV campaign to elect Barack Obama the next President of the USA. Now that the super successful voter registration drive is behind us, we can focus on getting all those registered voters to mail in their ballots or to vote early starting 10/20. We plan to announce effective tools you can use when canvassing voters either by phone or in person.

Please dress for warm weather if you plan to go out canvassing right after the meeting as many of us will do. Those of you who prefer to make phone calls, plan on going to HQ to make calls using our 3 telephone lines. Lists will be handed to you at the meeting. We have other ideas for phone banking that should be fun and easy for many of you who prefer to stay close to home. If you're not sure, but definitely want to help, please come out and listen for an idea that appeals to you. There are so many ways you can help. Refreshments will be provided for those of you who are hungry and haven't had time to grab some lunch, because you've been so busy campaigning.
