The Young Symphony of the State of Rheinland-Pfalz was founded in 1973 and has since developed into one of the finest youth orchestras in Germany.
The state’s most talented students between 12 and 19 years of age are invited three times a year for intensive rehearsal sessions under the guidance of dedicated professional music teachers, members of high-profile German orchestras and conductors.
At the end of the rehearsal cycle, the orchestra performs, tours and records.
The 100 young artists have played throughout Europe and the Middle- East and have been in the U.S. on two previous concerts tours.

German Day is an annual program at Concordia University dedicated to highlighting different aspects of German culture, politics and economy.
This year’s German day is looking at the achievements of German entrepreneurs in Southern California.
