Formed by saxophonist/producer Kaye and DJ Funk Bastard somewhere in 2004, Cosa Nostra is a possibly the only quasi-electronic act in Singapore that proudly align themselves with anything deep, black, obscure and funky. They have brought in acts like Recloose, Ramadaman, Linkwood and Basic Soul Unit.
They have also established a new label imprint called DARKER
THAN WAX, focusing on the spectrum of deep house, cosmic beats and beyond. And who better than Gerd Janson himself, the resident of Robert Johnson coming in from Germany, to help us grace this event!

Gerd Janson has been serving the hottest house and disco cuts at Frankfurt’s Robert Johnson where he has been hosting the Liquid club nights together with DJ heavyweight Thomas Hammann for the past few years.

Without a doubt, Gerd Janson is one of the hottest talents on the German DJ circuit. The word has spread, and so he’s travelling a lot as a DJ now. And when not spinning records he’s known as a prolific music journalist writing for Groove magazine or Spex …, or he’s busy working at the Pentagon Recordstore in his hometown Darmstadt and as part of the staff for the Red Bull Music Academy.

Recently, he even started doing remixes for acts like Antena or DJ Designer Imposter and released a compilation of weirdo 80ies jams together with Jazzanova on Sonar Kollektiv. Don’t you like that?
Also being part of the Tuff city Kids project, he has also remixed the club hit 'Reckless with your love' by Azari & III. If the leftfield house sound is what you are after, this man will not disappoint.
