Join us for a day of fun and learning about different cultures around the world. Our initial focus will be Japan, but we will learn about different cultures and customs.

We will break up the group by ages and even have activities for our high school students! As part of the museum’s current theme, Get Cultured! A Worldly Spin on Fun! The theme of Japanese culture exposes the students to traditions and ideas that are commonplace to children in Japan.

The activities include a Yoshino cherry tree craft for younger students or Japanese calligraphy for the older students, listening and acting out a Japanese folk tale, playing traditional Japanese games similar to their American counterparts, and even tasting green tea in a Japanese tea ceremony. For grade 6-12, because of the volume that we will have we will separate and they will do a tour of the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Museum. Docents and teachers will educate, tour and do scavenger hunts with this group. The outline will come to your email for the day

This event is free, everyone must have a permission slip to participate!
