George Winston: Solo Piano Concert May 9, 2009

The Dance Palace is honored to present solo pianist George Winston, a consummate contemporary composer and performer. His signature sound, for more than 30 years, is a lilting, melodic rural folk piano style that conjures seasonal images. In concert, Winston will perform songs from his latest CD, Gulf Coast Blues and Impressions—A Hurricane Relief Benefit, as well as selections from his seasonal recordings, Vince Guaraldi's Peanuts pieces, New Orleans R&B piano and stride piano. George Winston is also working with the local Community Resource Center of West Marin on a canned food drive.
