Update - Tim Waters will be showing us the results of this weekend's (Sat 15th and Sun 16th Sept) big event: the Leeds Open Street Map Mapping Party. Hopefully see some of you there - looking forward to seeing Leeds on the map!

Also at GeekUp this month, Phil Winstanley will be heading over the Pennines to provide us with a MIX Mastication - a quick tour of what was announced @ MIX, what it means, and why you should care, even if you hate Microsoft.

In true tradition we will honour our turn-up-on-the-night-with-a-20:20-slot, where it's left up to the GeekUp crowd to decide on the night who gets to talk. The 20:20 format is outlined on the GeekUp wiki but it's essentially 20 slides, with 20 seconds per slide.

What is GeekUp?
GeekUp is a community of web designers, web developers, and other tech-minded folk from the North. Our socials take place once a month in Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester and are always a lively place to share ideas and spread a little knowledge.

Who can attend GeekUp?
While the focus for GeekUp is predominately web related anybody involved in the technology industry is more than welcome to attend a GeekUp. The monthly events are free, we just ask that you buy your own beer.

Hey Deb - I won't be able to make it this month...it's Ramadan and I need to eat and pray at sunset...around 7:20pm. I'll be there next month though :)

Sorry to hear you can't make it! Hope Ramadan is going ok, hopefully see you next month, or at OpenCoffee.
