This month's format will be 2 talks + social. Dave Verwer will be giving us a 15 minute presentation on Unobtrusive Javascript & Dominic Hodgson will be doing a 20:20 lightning talk on Search Engine Optimisation
What is GeekUp?
GeekUp is a community of web designers, web developers, and other tech-minded folk from the North West. Our socials take place once a month in Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester and are always a lively place to share ideas and spread a little knowledge.
Who can attend GeekUp?
While the focus for GeekUp is predominately web related anybody involved in the technology industry is more than welcome to attend a GeekUp. The monthly events are free, we just ask that you buy your own beer.

What time do the talks start (roughly), may grab some some food on the night and it would be rude to miss them?

Talks start at 7:30 and you can still get in if you miss them :)

Is there a function room in the lounge? Or is this just going to be held in a private area in the main bar (the marquee?)

Sorry I couldn't make it guys - especially Deb, I was looking forward to meeting you. My brother's family graduation party went on for a bit and I didn't have the heart to break away from everyone...even for geekery :)

Hi Imran, shame you couldn't make it - graduation has to come first really, I agree!
Looking forward to meeting you at some point anyway! Hopefully we can catch up next time, or at least chat before that even. I'm going to struggle to make opencoffee I'm afraid - all the best for the next one.
