AAA Colorado conducts the Great Battery Roundup every year in conjunction with earth day;
both non members and AAA members can contact us to schedule a pickup or drop off for used car batteries

This service is actually offered year round. However, earth day and earth week have produced the largest amounts of recycled batteries.
