Gathering of Nations Powwow April 23, 2008

The Gathering of Nations Powwow is open to all. It's a big gathering for Native peoples of the world. According to my father-in-law, there have been people from as far away as Alaska, and they have been trying to get people from Central and South America to come.

Thursday, Friday, and the day of Saturday are full of markets (jewelry, blankets, edibles, etc) and dance demonstrations and competitions welcome all people. Saturday night events are traditionally reserved for Native people.
