Sean Baker, Executive Chef and co-owner of Gather Restaurant in Berkeley, will be the featured chef at Campovida’s 36 Hour Farm Experience being held from October 14 to October 16, 2011. Joining Chef Baker at event will be his wife and co-chef Renée Baker.

The first day of the 36 Hour Farm Experience will begin at 3:00 pm on Friday, October 14 at Campovida in Hopland, CA. The experience will commence with a slow paced Taste and Tour through the organic gardens of Campovida accompanied by their wines and the Voice of Nature, Ken Boek. Following the Taste and Tour, guests will have the opportunity to meet Chef Baker. The dinner, comprised of Neapolitan style pizza topped with freshly picked vegetables, will take place in the intimate Tuscan gardens and will be followed by a bonfire and music.

On Saturday, October 15 after a light breakfast, guests will have the option to work along side Chef Baker and Ken Boek in the garden, reviewing the selection, discussing the menu, pairing wines and preparing food for both lunch and dinner. At noon, a lunch will be provided and then guests will return to the Tuscan garden for dinner at 6:00 p.m. On Sunday morning, participants will enjoy breakfast, followed by a Chef’s farewell.

For people who have limited time, there is a 6 Hour Farm Experience. Guests will arrive at Campovida by 4:00 pm Saturday, October 15 and check-in at Campovida’s Taste of Place. The evening will begin with a Taste and Tour at 4:30 pm through Campovida’s organic gardens accompanied by wines and Ken Boek. Following the Taste and Tour the guests will meet the Chef at 6:00 pm in the Tuscan garden for dinner.

The 36 Hour Farm Experience costs $400.00 per person, not including accommodations. Rooms at Campovida begin at $225.00 and range up to $325.00, with a 2 night minimum, Friday and Saturday. The 6 Hour Farm Experience costs $230.00 per person and includes a Taste and Tour of the garden, followed by appetizers, dinner, wine, and dessert.
