The Garcia Birthday Band is an informal collection of veteran Portland jammers, first formed to add some live magic to Edgefield's annual Jerry Garcia Birthday. The GBB isn't a tribute band - this combo plays fast and loose with the tunes, taking a jazz-like approach to improv.
