Game Show Speakeasy presents Match Blank '77! June 3, 2008

Twice a month the Gameshow Speakeasy re-imagines beloved classic game show formulas with an East Village twist! Our next show: Gameshow Speakeasy: MATCH (BLANK) '77 recreates a certain beloved TV game show of the shag carpet era; two contestants attempt to match the answers of a panel of well-lubricated celebrities, in a bawdy game of fill-in-the-blank. Here's an example: You don't want to miss this hilarious show, it's based on the classic Match "blank"! Hosted by Clams Casino along with her lovely assistant, Neil O'Fortune, it stars special celebrity panelists Albert Cadabra, Anita Cookie, Dr. Lukki and Schaffer the Darklord—along with contestants from right out of the audience! Gameshow Speakeasy: MATCH (BLANK) '77! takes the stage on Tuesday, May 6, at 10:00 PM in The Fortune Cookie Cabaret, the beautiful red-curtained stage in the backroom of Lucky Cheng's (1st Avenue and 2nd St.). Admission is $5.
