Historian Caroline Weber explores how Marie Antoinette’s daring fashions gave her power over her enemies but ultimately led to her downfall. Before the lecture, enjoy a Gallery Talk about the swivel chair on which Marie Antoinette sat as her hair was put into elaborate, powdered coiffures. After the lecture, Weber will sign copies of Queen of Fashion: What Marie Antoinette Wore to the Revolution. Gallery Talk at 6 pm; Lecture at 7 pm.
