Gallery Night and Day July 27, 2012

Summer Gallery Night and Day to be held July 27 and 28
Celebrating its 25th Anniversary this July, Gallery Night and Day is the premier art event in Milwaukee for both the experienced art connoisseur and the beginning admirer. Presented by the Historic Third Ward Association, this evening of gallery hopping and art viewing begins Friday, July 27 and continues through 9pm on Saturday, July 28. The quarterly event will showcase 62 venues throughout the downtown Milwaukee area. Admission is free to all participating venues during event hours. http://www.gallerynightandday.org

As part of the anniversary celebration, several one time only events will take place:

Art Park - presented by ARTMilwaukee
ART Milwaukee takes over Catalano Square on Friday, July 27 from 6 to 10pm with live painters, performances, and music. More information: artmilwaukee.com/gallerynightmilwaukee.html

Plein Air Painting Competition
Plein Air artists will capture scenes portraying the life and vitality of Milwaukee's most distinct neighborhoods. Artists are competing for cash prizes and incentives.
