Galactic is a six-piece, jazz-funk ensemble hailing from New Orleans. The Hot 8 Brass Band has been a fixture in the New Orleans street music scene for over a decade. Mike Dillon is well known for his extensive work with Les Claypool, Ani Difranco, Hairy Apes BMX, Garaj a Trois, Critters Buggin and many others. All three musicians played together in the past, in the infamous TX band known as Billygoat. This new brainchild of Mike Dillon features a focus on funky grooves, but doesn't totally shed the freaky experimentalist nature that has been one of Mike's trademarks through the years.
