Full Moon Family Halloween Walk October 31, 2009

Share an unforgettable family experience on a spooky Halloween night at The Nature Conservancy's Hassayampa River Preserve near Wickenburg. Enjoy this short drive as a family; then spend an evening in Wickenburg for this exciting new program. Led by Eric Garton, you will witness nightfall and experience a unique oasis as the sun sets and the full moon rises in the sky. You will use all your senses on this fun walk around Palm Lake and along the fabled Hassayampa River, its waters flowing year-round to create an extraordinary area for wildlife including javelina, desert fox, coyotes and other evening creatures. Includes evening dessert snacks, bottled water, a contribution to The Nature Conservancy, and of course, a special trick or treat bag loaded with desert goodies. Please bring one flashlight per person. This gentle walk is approximately one mile in length on level, sandy trails. You will receive additional information following registration, including Wickenburg dining and lodging options if you wish to spend the night in the area. Recommended for families with children ages six and above. Limit 20.
