Full Belly by Gil & Moti February 27, 2008

Opening Wednesday 27 February 18.00 hrs

Gil & Moti and their video camera are on a search for Arab employees in snack bars in Amsterdam, those who found their home and began a new life in Holland.
Every day from 16.00 to 20.00 hrs the artists will do a cooking and serving performance in Mediamatic alongside the video installation. Youssef from Bakery Duluxe, is one of the Arabic men who will help serving. 'Shakshuka' – is a vegetarian omelette with some special oriental spices , that the artists learned to cook it in the Israeli army. It will be the starting point to discuss art and politics on a Full Belly.
