We're happy to be back at the Lost Church again this month-this time on a Friday. For those of you who have never been this may well be the best place in the city to hear acoustic music in a unique and intimate setting. Seating is limited and shows there often sell out so get your tickets in advance here.

This month is a real embarrassment of riches.

Starting things off will be Steve Taylor. He has a sound steeped in the sunlit tones of Laurel Canyon, the mid 60′s pop and R&B of the Brill Building, and the lo-fi synths of early prog rock, and makes heartfelt soul music that pushes the envelope of the singer/songwriter genre.

He has also shared the stage with members of Wilco, Vetiver, Avi Buffalo, Rogue Wave (of course) and a host of others. Tonight will be a rare occasion to hear just him and his acoustic guitar. Not to be missed.

Next up the Goldenhearts. They feature the songs of Roger Rocha; psychedelic blues chamber-pop/rock from a deeply personal place filtered through the world of pop chemistry. On bass & cello is Ari Gorman, Chad Tasky on drums & Jacob Hanson & The Stringboom Quartet frequently guesting on violin, viola & cello respectively.

Roger is grandson of abstract expressionist revolutionary Clyfford Still. He was exposed to the world of art and music at a young age. Roger is perhaps best known as the guitarist for the group 4 Non Blondes, who had a major worldwide hit with “What’s Up?”. He has shared the stage with Prince, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Neil Young and has been a featured guest of the Violent Femmes.

As usual I'll be playing a set to end the night including a recently finished song I'll be debuting. I will also be debuting a new feature of the Front Porch series homemade mini pot pies for only $2 and my signature cherry pecan chocolate cookies for only $1.
