From Your Garden to Your Kitchen, Community Wellness Workshop

11 a.m.-Noon. Organic Herb Gardening. A workshop-style introduction to what “organic gardening” means, including: composting, planting and care, natural insect control, and best practices for growing herbs to cook with. Suited to gardens of all sizes.

Noon-1 p.m. From Your Garden to Your Kitchen. Fresh-grown herbs are high in nutrition and flavor. Learn how to harvest your fresh-grown herbs and to integrate them into your daily diet with the simple, ready-to-use techniques introduced in this workshop.

1-2 p.m. Native Medicinals. Explore the ACHS Botanical Teaching Garden for a tour of Pacific Northwest native medicinals and at-risk botanicals, including how to use native medicinals, an introduction to edible weeds, and tips for garden maintenance.
