From Siberia To Bangkok On Bicycle March 15, 2007

Reno resident, Hans Frischeisen, has an extraordinary dream. He has ridden his bicycle around the world twice and is now working on his third circumnavigation. Toward that end, last year he completed the third leg of his journey; cycling from Russia to Thailand. Join us on Thursday, March 15, at 6:30 p.m. as Hans shares his experiences with us in pictures and words.

As only Hans could tell it, he retells the spectrum of colorful experiences while crossing the vast Gobi desert of Mongolia, through the bustling cities and burgeoning farms of the Middle Kingdom, down the steamy coast of Vietnam, across the Mekong River into Laos and ending finally in Bangkok, Thailand. Along the way the inevitable frustrations that accompany mechanical failures and bureaucratic inefficiencies was tempered by the many friends and kind gestures of people all along the way.

This presentation is free and requires no advance reservations. A word to the wise would be to show up a little early for the best seating.
