Learn more about lettering in the New York urban environment. In this presentation he will look at the work of an 18th century Newark stone carver in Manhattan and Queens, a range of invisible examples of infrastructure lettering from manhole covers to door handles, and neon signs in all of their luminescent splendor and mesmerizing decay. A selection of the work of the Wall Nuts, a group of Queens graffitists will conclude the program.
