"Mark Poster is Centennial Professor of Film and Media Studies at the LSE. He has studied and taught at the University of California, Irvine for 40 years, he will examine the controversy over copyright law, looking at the case of peer-to-peer file sharing. He will argue that a new perspective is needed to understand the implications of this form of communication, one that goes beyond the viewpoints of the media industries and the downloaders of copyrighted materials."

This event will be free and open to all, with no ticket required.
