Ms. Kortchmar designs under her label,"Midnight Prairie," an eye-catching array of ultra feminine dresses, romantic fitted blouses, tailored daywear, summer-weight long evening jackets, corset inspired halter tops, and super chic high-waist pants. Midnight Prairie's designs are cut to compliment the natural curves of a woman's body.

Ms. Kortchmar's journey as an artist has taken her from a youth in South Dakota to a thriving career as a singer-songwriter in LA. Along the way she had the chance to sing backup with Bruce Springsteen and wife Patti Scialfa and serve as a bridesmaid for friend and former roommate Demi Moore. Her path to design was influenced by the generous gift of vintage dresses from iconic singer Joni Mitchell in the 90's.
