Fringe season 5 continues this week with episode 9, "Black Blotter," and with the Observer tech out of Peter, everyone can focus on saving the world from the Observers. FOX has released promotional photos from the December 14 episode, teasing trouble to come for the team.

In this episode, Walter is going to be taking an LSD trip down memory lane in hopes of remembering more of the plan, while Peter and Olivia will follow a signal to a grisly scene in the woods. The photos out (below) tease the team in the woods, where they find a family who may have answers they need regarding their plan, and on a dock, where they'll be facing off with Loyalists. If their plan is to take a boat, that's not exactly going to be easy. Will being in the woods trigger anything in Walter's memory? Will the LSD trip help? With the series winding down—the series finale airs January 18—each episode brings them one step closer to (hopefully) defeating the Observers.
