Dress as fairy & get discounts on both side of the river! (OK this is the 3rd date for this event & hopefull will go off with out a hitch this time)
2:00 - Pre-party with $2 "Ferry Marys" at the Dry Dock (at the foot of the Algiers Ferry Landing.) Music by "Some Like it Hot."
5:00 - Ferry over to the Canal St. Landing. Meet the band. Second Line along Waldenberg Park.
5:45 Second line back (via the Ferry) to Algiers Point for the . .
6:00 - Blessing of the Ferry, State of the Ferry Address, & Complimentary Pink Ferrytinis. .
6:30 - Second Line along the levee to the Costume Contest @ The Old Point Bar) where YOU could be crowned 2008’s "Algiers Fairy." (Or for the kids, "The Pedestrian Fairy.")
7:00 LSU game on at the Old Point or party-hardy on both sides of the river.

I just received this via Email from the event organizer...
"Well, it's that time again. Time to name a new date for Ferry Night. After a consideration of many Saturday nights, it seems the one least likely to conflict with Saints Games, Southern Decadence and/or Labor Day would be Saturday night, Sept. 6th. (Our apologies to LSU fans but the game will be on at the Old Point.)"
