Chicago, Illinois

Do you live near the Bloomingdale railroad embankment (1800 N) in
Bucktown, Logan Square or Humboldt Park?

Would you like to see the City fix up this unused space into a walking
& bicycling trail for the community?

Help us make this vision a reality.

Join the Friends of the Bloomingdale Trail. For more information, view the website or contact Josh Deth at (773) 384-9546

Meeting Schedule:

  • A magnificent video presentation about The High Line, an out-of-use elevated rail viaduct that runs for 1.45 miles along Manhattan's West Side. Much like Chicago's Bloomingdale Line, it has been the focus of a grassroots organizing effort to convert the unused freight line into a
linear park. The video, which was displayed at Grand Central Terminal during the Designing the High Line exhibition features interviews with Edward Norton and Diane von Furstenberg, as well as spectacular footage
    shot atop the Line.

  • Review the status of the Bloomingdale proposal & plan future campaign efforts

  • Launch the 2004 membership drive for Friends of the Bloomingdale Trail
    (Only $5)
