Pick up your next great read with just pocket money! The Friends of Marion Carnegie Library will host a used book sale on Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the library.

Most hardback copies are $1 and paperbacks are $.25. Newer editions will have special prices well below market value. All available titles are organized by subject, making shopping easy. There is something for everyone, from children to adults.

The sale will feature fiction, romance, mystery, westerns, history and reference books and also includes videotapes, DVDs and audio books. Your spare change benefits the best place to find these materials for free: Marion Carnegie Library.

The library is accepting donations of used books and some other items for the sale. The library also needs volunteers to help with the sale. Some sorting and set up will take place before the sale and cashiers are needed on sale days. Call for more information on days and times help is needed.

The Friends of Marion Carnegie Library is a volunteer group who supports the library in its mission to bring a wide variety of programs and services to the community. The Friends sponsor book sales, summer reading programs and library events and activities.

The Friends of Marion Carnegie Library is open to all members of the community. Annual membership is $5 for adults, $2 for students, $7 for families and $25 for businesses. The group also accepts charitable donations.
