French Quarter With Emperor X and Keychain June 11, 2012

French Quarter's massively under-appreciated self-titled 2008 debut remains one of the greatest bedroom indie rock albums of the last 10 years. Frontman Stephen Steibrink's somewhat naive, somewhat snarky delivery was unique and his melodies and lush lo-fi arrangements were very very catchy. Think of him as a Southwestern version of Canada's Chad VanGaalen. At any rate, French Quarter is back on the road with a new record and sharing dates with noise-act Married in Berdichev who come off like a cross between Bjork and Yellow Swans (a must see for fans of US Girls).
