Longer Less Exciting Alternate Title: Macy's Passport Fashion Cinema Presented by American Express to Benefit NO/AIDS Task Force

Imagine, if you will, that you are the Director of Development for a local non-profit, and two major corporate sponsors (Macy's and AMEX) hand you a fund-raiser, lock stock and barrel. All you have to do is put butts in seats and rake in the profit! Normally you would have a lot more work to do... or at least you have to get your co-workers to do a lot of work for you.

Well, that's the situation my friend Heidi is in. She's got this great event, as you'll see below. The problem is that it's a week night, and it's a week night with lots of Pre-Halloween stuff going on.

So, she's willing to offer 15$ tickets instead of the 25$ tickets you get from the Macy's website. Shhhh. Don't tell anyone.... -well, don't tell anyone who doesn't use the Internet. -and don't tell her boss. No seriously, Susan B., don't tell her boss.

Call Heidi and tell her you're a friend of Kevin's (Even if you're an enemy!) to get 15$ tickets (821-2601 ext. 203).

It's like a KevinNOLAnativeFunSavers Discount!

Here's what you get for your 15 bucks:

Wine
Champagne
Food from Joel's Catering
Junk from the Concession Stand
Macy's Coupon (rumored value: 10$)

The reception starts at 7, then you can ditch or stay and watch "Macy’s Passport – The Movie, a high definition cinematic event". Let's face it, it won't be the first time you've been drunk at the movies.

I realize you're getting a little event/fund raiser burnout, BUT SUCK IT UP PEOPLE THERE'S ALCOHOL TO BE CONSUMED!

Don't think of it as 'in Metairie'. Think of it as 'near the lake'.

Heidi also promises to become a Big Easy Roller Girl if you attend. She wants to relive her days as a Roller Skate champion when she used to wear Dorothy Hamill outfits and drink 'suicides' at the Skate Country.

I had another joke but I forgot it and I want to go to lunch now.
